Flaky sea salt · Concept
Raked at low tide.
Hollow pyramid flakes, grown on warm brine and lifted off by hand. Scroll and the jar opens.

01 · The flake
Hollow, thin, loud.
Each flake grows as an upside-down pyramid floating on the brine. That hollow shape is why it crunches, and why a pinch looks generous on the plate.
- 01 · Crunch
A pyramid flake shatters between the teeth instead of dissolving straight away.
- 02 · Finish
Scatter it last, on tomatoes, on chocolate, on a fried egg.
- 03 · Pinch
Wide flakes are easy to see, so you salt less and taste more.
02 · The jar
A jar you leave out.
Clear so you can see how much is left, wide so your fingers fit, heavy enough to stay put next to the stove.

- 02
Wait for the crust
As the brine warms, hollow pyramid crystals grow on the surface and float there.
- 03
Rake it by hand
The flakes are lifted off the surface before they sink, then dried in moving air.
